Here and there

i was in istanbul for a week. on the first days, i stayed at ezgi’s place.

it’s funny how the yellow is present in the three shots here.. :)

there was a fire

i made friends with that dog.

on that night we met my frien amandine at the cinema to see sky crawlers i think… and then went to a little restaurant. it snowed.

ezgi’s cat doesnt like me. it’s the first time in my life a cat doesnt like me. then again, this one was special.

i went back to see my dog friend, but he had a buddy.

we were at sahap’s (ezgi’s boyfriend) place, to hang out and cook a turkish delicious dessert, Irmik Helvasi.

and we came back home walking and taking little buses.

at 2 am we went to have some rice-stuffed mussels. delicious. ezgi was tired.

next day i move in amandine and her boyfriend volcan’s place; Amandine is a friend and classmate of mine.

we went to see a documentary about the problems between turks and kurds.

in the end the director was here and people asked questions.

we went to mehmet’s photo studio

3AM food

nxt night, volcan did a little party at his place.

i cut a bit of amandine’s hair.

next night, friday night. Duygu shows me the fish market

ate with ezgi, sahap and ezgi’s friend at a restaurant

then i was invited by aysegul to a birthday party (where there was barely any light)

so i looked for the flashes

although these little cameras flash a zilliont ime, so it ends up being blurry anyway

and then someone put on a little strobelight

so i went at 1/8 of a second and a guy who was in a photo school oriented the light for me.

then we went out.

next morning i was taking the bus to go to the airport.

funny, they look like lomo shots. thank you dirty bus window.

and tungstene white balance.

anyway, thats it.

i took some shots with the leica, not much though.

hope you enjoyed watching this entry, it was a fun week and i really want to go back…
