i had slept at my grandmother’s appartment, and like everytime i leave her place, she throws something from her balcony to me.. this time, it was this flower. Early morning in Paris, i went to take the plane.

i left the flower in the metro

Milan.

Emanuele and i went to a protest against racism…

after that we went to Samuele’s house…

and the next morning i left

back to paris-

tomorrow i’ll take photos, feels aweful that i didn’t today.

Oh, i guess i’ll just tell you a little story that happened a few days before i left for syria… these are my two siblings, Galilée and Théotime.

I started posting there in 2006, a year full of new encounters, and amongst them Renault, that i found under a car :

And Ezra Gray, who i loved and lived with for 4 months, and eventually hitchiked with to go to Vienna (in May),

and meet the Austrian boys, Bernhard Wolf and Severin Koller.

In august, Ezra went back to Canada. And Bernhard came to visit me in Paris. And i met Fabian Klein.

In september, Ryan Marr came to stay over at my place.

And in october, Severin and Miriam came.

Suzan Geldhoff was in Paris for a few days

And Chris Weeks was here as well !

On the same month, i started studying in that very big artschool called les arts décoratifs de paris, in photography and video department.

There, i met Aurelia Blanc

My roomates (Mathieu and Vincent Bitaud) and i  started renovating my place to transform a one-room little studio into a 3 bedrooms+livingroom appartment.

We did most of the job.

In November, i took photos at a firemen demonstration.

And Yann Faucher came to Paris, and brought with him a lensbaby…

Michael Vesen and Mikko Takkunen came to Paris as well…

David Mutch visited Paris.. and me…

In december i fell in love with Balthazar Auxietre

and there i began slowing down my photography activity, maybe because of the school. yeah.

I took photos with Balthazar though.

And learned a lot of things about flashes with him.

March 2007, Ailine Liefeld came to stay at my place

She stayed in my bed and i went to stay at Balthazar’s

I enjoyed every time my sisters would run to my arms when they came back from school

and my brother would sulk at the camera

And my mother would give me the warmest smile

And Galilee did funny faces

While the renovations continued…

We also had fun with my roommates…

In june i worked for Disney (as a photographer and infographist) with Aurelia. The job took us for a weekend in Strasbourg.

We took the opportunity to cross the german border

back at the hotel,

Eric Genevrier and Aurelia with their new kids..

In july we celebrated my grandfather’s 80th birthday by going to his hometown, Calais.

On the first day, my uncles didn’t succeed at making the kite fly

My grandfather showed us the place he grew up in, and had a lot of stories to tell

and on the second day the kite flew

And my grandmother was happy

In july and august, i worked full time selling things on Ebay, things that belonged to Balthazar’s father, and we made a percentage on them.

But i came back to Paris to welcome Kyle Depew and his brother in my place.

Hermann Wendler was in Normandy with us (balthazar and i)

And in September we (Balthazar, Aurelia, Hermann and i) took a plane that landed in NYC. there, we rented a car, and drove through Philadelphia, Asheville, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, Austin, Marfa, El Paso, Albuquerque, Monument Valley, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and finally, San Francisco. We were in the US for a month. And came back when school started in october.

Balthazar and i split up.

Chris and Jamie came to Paris

For new years, i went to london with Fanny, my best friend.

I met Loki

And James, and Tanya

In february 2008, we finished the appartment

And we got a hen.

we built her a house in the garden.

Mathieu in the metro… He is a very important person in my life, as strange as he might look here :P

And i went to Syria to see my family

In april i went to Albania with my classmates and two teachers.

in may, i went to my cousin’s first communion

and, in june, at a vernissage.

And then i left for Boston, where i stayed at Derek Vincent’s place.

We took a bus to go to NYC, and Coney Island

Summer was all about family.

In september 2008 Fabian came to live in and study in Paris

and in october i spent time with Fanny and Thomas, her boyfriend

In november, Ingrid Fabiola Ocares Moen came to stay at my place :)

and then Tomé Duarte arrived.

And then it was Obama night, when we tried to stay awake until 5 am.

and then there were burning shirts with dancing persons inside

We also celebrated thanksgiving, … thanks to our american friends who were studying in Paris at the time.

And there were parties at school…

And 2009 came. We threw a party at our place.

It snowed on the day my family went back to Syria

and took photos of a play for a friend, Samuel Aden, who did the set design

And then Didier left me. and a friend had his birthday party at our place.

I’ll stop here. it was really tough to sum up that much time.
