I never asked for anyone to pose. When i shot portraits, it’s because the people asked me to.

i had slept at my grandmother’s appartment, and like everytime i leave her place, she throws something from her balcony to me.. this time, it was this flower. Early morning in Paris, i went to take the plane.

i left the flower in the metro

after that we went to Samuele’s house…

Back in Paris, back to stripe shirts !

Technoparade : 19 trucks with heavy sound systems roll accross Paris… People follow, dancing. It happens every year, and every year the weather is perfect.

it got a bit crowded…

he tried to rob a cellphone.. the parade’s security was there though. Below, a detail of the photo.The arrest was pretty violent. i guess he hurt his head on the floor… i’m not sure.

i saw smoke. and i saw this girl complaining about all sorts of things. so i took a photo of both :P

an organisation for sans papiers (people who are in france, work, pay taxes, but don’t have the french nationality and are subject to expulsions quite often) dancing :)

i was on one knee, and people were dancing right in front of me, so sometimes they were blocking my view. Oh well. :)

i find it funny when parisian girls really fit the cliché of parisian girls. hah.

i heard stuff was going on in front of the cityhall (Hotel de Ville) so i went there by foot

took this before crossing the line of cops.

crossed a park.

at hotel de ville, there was like 200 people, talking about finding solutions against the actual economical/political system. but most of them were just chilling, enjoying the last rays of sun. so i came back to Bastille.

so i don’t know what this guy did, but he probably didn’t need 6 cops to arrest him. wtf.

i showed him this shot of him afterwards and he liked it a lot :)

so yeah. the situation at this point was that most of the people who stayed were young people, some of them with a lot of beer in their blood, that most of them were dancing and/or chilling,  and that photographers looked bored. And then the police let cars circulate again. without having evacuated the place. So the young people blocked the cars. So the police began the evacuation.

i like that one eye thing.

the forced us towards the metro entrance. there wasnt much violence. apart from that crazy light.

this flower is the one that is sold usually on the 1st of may… i don’t know if it’s just a french thing.

i like his expression.

No riots, no teargas, just a huge headache thanks to mister Sun.

Ive heard some stuff happened during the evening at the city hall, i almost stopped there on my way home, but i was too damn exhausted.
