on ne se lassera jamais de la lumière d’un mac sur le visage dans une obscure soirée. J’aime la ville la nuit.

Is there a specific theme you try to capture with your photos, or is it randomness?

Ali, there is a sort of specific theme, a leitmotiv for sure, but the “series” will appear at the end of those 6 months spent here…
The blog does show a sort of randomness.. as it’s more or less chronological.
Do you only see randomness ?

What does that signboard say? So far I can make out the word “al hakikat”, but my arabic sucks :P

Ashraf, i think the sentence means “the truth for lebanon”, it’s related to the death of Hariri and on this billboard they were counting the days since his death… and asking for a proper investigation i guess.
They had to add a digit after a time because it took longer than what they expected, but it’s been 4 years now and there still are no real answers… so they stopped counting and the digit things are turned off.

Charlotte ,
I am quite sure that you will come up with a series at the end of your stay in Lebanon, and I am really looking forward to that. Now concerning the subject of “randomness”, I did not mean to convey it as a title for your photos but rather as a question whether your posts follow a certain theme or essay. It is a question of peculiar interest really.
I don’t see randomness in your photos, but rather an eye-catchy photojournalistic approach to things. Great work, keep it up, you got yourself a big fan.
